From the recording Yorkshire Water

In my school years the place where I grew up in South Yorkshire, went through a bitter winter and a year long miner's strike. It had a lasting impact on me, as a child and still to this day. A few years after moving to America, The British Government decided to privatize other national industries. To me, these two actions are inextricably linked, and this song attempts to address why and how. A few of my Grand-dad's own words thrown in for good measure.
