Brooklyn Loves Mountains presents a benefit concert to send a message of solidarity to those working to preserve and protect the environment against mountaintop removal coal mining, and create a brighter future for Appalachian communities. The event will follow Kentucky’s Tenth Annual “I Love Mountains Day” rally, which takes place in February. Proceeds benefit Kentuckians For The Commonwealth’s Canary Project, a campaign launched in 2003 to build a better future beyond coal with a focus to end mountaintop removal mining.
