The 9th semi annual Brooklyn Americana Music Festival (BKAMF) continues to present a four day free live music festival twice a year in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo Archway, and pioneer artist owned establishments along the waterfront in Dumbo and Red Hook. Long time festival partner, Superfine host tonights annual fundraiser.
It all began over twenty years ago, at festival founder Jan Bell's little red hen music stages in Dumbo: Old horse and wagon loading docks, abandoned warehouses, and roof tops with a view down by the riverside. Now these once derelict and 'undesirable' neighborhoods are destination tourist and Instagram gold.
Brooklyn Americana Music continues to support emerging, and now established artists who shaped the vibrant music scene, back when yellow cabs did not like to drive you to Dumbo or Red Hook, at all.
