Winzerwald Winery Family History: Our great, great grandfather Jakob Loesch was a cooper (wine barrel maker) in Germany and brought wine grapes when he came to America in the 1800s. These grapes still grow in the deep, fertile Ohio River Valley soils and we produce a limited edition wine called Heirloom.
